Sorry it's been a while since I've sent out an update but I was lazy and forgot (great excuse huh?). For the last 3 weeks I've been mostly staying home from school (my schools are so small they don't need me to come in more than once a week when we're not in session), playing games, laughing with friends, finding out that bowling is $2 a game here and karyoke in Korea has some crazy song choices. I even found time to talk to my co-teacher and learn that we are getting all new textbooks that might arrive by the 1st day of school. So can I prepare for my lessons in advance? The answer would be NO.

The new school year began today. So far no sign of the new books. I'm actually supposed to teach 2 classes in about an hour but no one has told me what to teach them. If you worry, are nervous, have high blood pressure or don't do well with non-existent planning, don't take this job. Fortunately I am non of those, so I'm just going to plan to teach what I feel like teaching in those classes. I am currently endeavoring to be prepared for anything.
I point out the total lack of planning and communication here but it doesn't actually bother me. I just laugh, shrug my shoulders and adapt. At least my job is never boring. And I'm really happy to see the kids again. I love the little munchkins. Of course I'm going to need tear gas and tasers to control one or two of the classes but that's part of the challenge.
As an added bit of fun I post this final picture. I already asked this question on facebook but i'm curious for other opinions. Which type of facial hair (or lack thereof) looks best and worst on me. Is it...
